@ink_slinger *reads them* Yeah, a couple are creepy. One is "We had a great time last night, but after the drinks I forgot contact info" which is amusing
@Canageek We had those in my campus newspaper in the early 00s, but they were (a little) less creepy because it was limited to the campus audience. Still kinda weird, I think.
"You were the cute barista with the pink hair; I was too nervous to approach you even though I really needed a coffee. Call me?"
@mdhughes Yeah, federal elections are done by elections Canada so the procedure is the same no matter where in Canada you vote. From what I've seen the provincial ones just copy the federal setup, though I've only voted in Ontario.
I REGISTERED TO VOTE IN A DIFFERENT PROVINCE THREE DAYS BEFORE THE ELECTION, THEY PHONED ME AND FIXED AN ERROR OVER THE PHONE, AND GOT ME MY BALLOT IN TIME
I suspect I'm firmly in the minority here, but I think we should bring back the diaeresis in the #english#language to accentuate syllable breaks. For words like coöperate, preëminence, and the like. It looks far more distinguished IMO. I'm all for distinguished.
also it's very difficult for me to explain, both plot-wise and tone-wise, but it's a deeply beautiful work of fiction that will make me cry almost immediately
Y'all the Ice Age trilogy might be the best Magic Story I've ever read
Like it's a great intro to the theory of mana, it's all about historical continuity, and I really care about Jodah and Jaya and the princess of Kjeldor
Like more than you'd expect to care based on the Dominaria story
I have issues with the Dominaria story
But instead of complaining more, I'm gonna draft a fic where Jodah and Tamiyo start a school for new Planeswalkers
