me: I don't understand how people can talk about sports so much
also me: this obscure groove metal band became much better after they got a new lead guitarist back in the mid-2000's
If anyone is looking for a new home for their projects, then my GitLab instance would be pretty happy to have you!

My (American) Mom: that seems kind of...silly?
Me: its code, Mom - he's virtually calling up the Canadian national guard
Trump: *does a bunch of dumb stuff*
Trudeau: "Canada is like a moose"
Americans (ignorant): Moose? Lol what a dipbrain
Canadians (knowing how badly a moose will fuck you up if you mess with it): oh damn those are fighting words shit is getting real
@popefucker Got it. New to me.
@xvu Congrats on both!
@popefucker Do you mean in the sense of "suss it out"? To divine or explore the nature of a thing through extended investigations?
Trudeau: We are not a security threat to the US!
Trump: Didn't you guys burn down the White House?
Pundits: Technically, it was the British.
Every Canadian I Know: JUST GIVE US THIS ONE THING
@kyzh Makes sense.
Honestly, I think the sexual politics of South Korea are really interesting, especially over the last few years, and haven't gotten nearly enough attention in the Western press.
Eating ribs is a perfect example of "you love what you fight for".
I think it's always going to be hard over riding that knee jerk response of learn behaviour society and certain people instil in you. And that nagging fear of being a bad person deep down.
But goodness is a series of choices, kindness is a series of choices. Being soft is waking up and looking at your younger self and going "I know why you did this, but no more." and then walking away from that. As often as you can. And I love people who manage to do that.
@kyzh This is wild - I can't believe this isnt bigger news.
Oh good, my city is leading the world in autonomous poison-spitting killbots. That can't possibly ever go wrong.
Did any of these people even play Telarium's 'Farenheit 451' in 1984 or
@kyzh What? This sounds fascinating!
Yes, definitely not what I wanted to hear. 😀 🙅♂️
As a side point, this differential as a justification for fighting gerrymandering in court in the US - the idea being that there is an "acceptable" or "natural reasonable" differential, and exceeding that indicates gerrymandering.
On the flip side, parliamentary systems have circuit breakers that the American system doesnt, through votes of no confidence. That's nice, at least.
@Nuntius Live the dream, friend
