    @hund He's a Labradoodle, but I think he's mostly Standard Poodle, with only a little Lab. Doesn't fetch worth a darn. He's not very intimidating with such a silly face, but he's a good pup.

      There should be a global 'awareness' week for developers. For a week reduce your RAM to 2 GB, disable all cores except 2, downscale your resolution to 1366x768 and cap your internet at 1 Mbps (or less for mobile developers)...

      Maybe, just maybe we will start to have less crappy, bloated software.

      Ah, that's refreshing. My Thunderbird had been showing weird random giant emojis sporadically over the message list. Harmless but super annoying. Apparently installing any other emoji font fixes this. I installed OpenSansEmoji and now all is glorious and peaceful.

      Ah right. Windows is tricky that way and I used Mac before Linux, so I've no idea. At least Linux install usbs are easy to come by. Good luck, noble adventurer!
