What is this nonsense? I guess it's not final yet, but blocking ad-blockers is a jerk move. One more reason to use anything but google-based browsers, and products in general.

That's cool. I synced my tiny art youtube channel to LBRY, and it works, but the tools are not fully set up yet. I think it's an awesome platform though, and I'm excited to see how it comes together.

Exactly! I couldn't get them out of my wordpress theme, and there's no reason to have them at all! It made me super cranky. Now I have the power and can have a google-free site. Like Zeus and RMS intended. :)

(Guess it wasn't clear in that post that wanted to get rid of the google fonts, not add them in. Sorry.)

Tonight I'm revamping my web site from scratch. All html with a couple php includes so the nav and footer don't make me completely lose my cool.

The google fonts in my wordpress site just put me over the edge. Ain't no reason this site has to be so complicated!

I have just been trying to sort out this problem, and will probably get a Kobo to replace my old Kindle.

Yup, Kobo seems like a good option. If I can sort out a way to use it with ebooks from the library, I'll be all in.

Feeling like rebelling against my old Kindle, wanting something more open. Wish there were more options to buy books not through amazon...

I'm thinking of getting a Kobo though. If you know of a better choice, I'd love to hear. :) But it has to have the e-ink screen. It hurts my eyes to read on backlit screens.

Ubuntu Mate is my most solid go-to and daily driver. It's stable, fast, easy to get the software I need without complication, and I like the Mate desktop. I love tinkering with distros, but have had to cut myself off so I can get work done. :)
