@kensanata This is pretty neat. Could this be used as a backend to ediff? (I'm not even sure whether ediff calls out to an external diff process or not)
I keep having heart-stopping issues whene'er I update my macOS. E.g. refuses to boot, needs 5 restarts, etc. Every time it happens I wish I had a hot backup laptop that I could continue working on.
I'm aware of Paperspace but the lag + connectivity requirements make it difficult. Any suggestions? #backup#security#hotlaptop
@NicolasPetton@johnson I have the 3 switch pedal for Kinesis Advantage 2. Ctrl, Meta and Tab (left->right). I alternate between keyboard keys and foot pedal switches to prevent strain. I really like it but had to buy a foot rest to place it on. Alone it was difficult to hit from a comfortable sitting position. Overall would recommend for heavy Emacs work!
So many small things about Mastodon that make it delightful. Simple example - I added #emacs as a feed in my mobile app (Tootdon). When I log in to the web client it's saved there too. This sounds simple but requires clear thought to so many parts of how the overall system works. Thank you @Gargron and all other contributors!
@xahlee you can't view and understand all art, but museums still seem to get by. It's not deception to admit that the entire field of mathematics is above one person's comprehension.
If you're living in #Detroit (or near Detroit) and are looking for your first full time programmer gig, One of my clients is planning to launch their apprenticeship program at the end of the month and we're looking for candidates. Boosts appreciated! (Job description coming soon)
Literally JUST got a joke from Space Quest V, 24 years later There is a planet called “Kiz Urazgubi” I remember struggling with the pronunciation as a kid, reading it carefully, and concluding it must be “kizz oorizz-gabby” Replaying it tonight I thought “this name is SO AWKWARD there must be a dumb joke here somewhere” and immediately it dawned on me that it was obviously supposed to be “kiss your ass goodbye”
