@kev It's for following other instances. Click on the "+" icon to add an instance. The helper will suggest instances that match your research and which are up. Then you will be able to follow local toots of other instances. You can interact with these toots and accounts thanks to cross-account actions.
What you can do with #mastalab (there is a chance that the post gets automatically split - it's a feature)
- Timed muting. - Schedule toots. - Export toots. - Save your toots in db to filter them (useful go find what you posted months ago). - Cross-account actions (long press on action buttons to pick up another account). - Pin tags. - Follow instances. - Set a proxy. - Use Tor onion instances. - Translate (with text obfuscation). - Automatically split toots - 1/3
Release 1.10.5 was published on Google Play (soon on #fdroid). - It fixes the regression concerning the position in the timeline (sorry for that). - I added some helpers to quickly remove tabs (with a long press). - Some other bug fixes.
I am searching volunteers that do know the app and WP sites. The idea is to write some small articles concerning features with an easy way to search answers. Do you think it could be useful? #mastalab
Some of you might be impatient to have the feature to follow instances. That's why I published it under release 1.10.4 https://gitlab.com/tom79/mastalab/tags It should be available soon on Google Play and in few days with #fdroid
I think the next release of #mastalab will offer the ability to follow instances. Currently, I need to set by default cross-account actions but an important part already works.
OK. I am testing @mastohost service. Really easy to have an instance. If some people want to join it to discute about the app, it's here: https://mastalab.app There are few places, I took the smallest plan ;)
After the black theme, the new release will have a compact mode to display more toots in your timelines. Features like translation and bookmarks are still here but in the drop-down menu. #Mastalab
