@falgn0n 😫 OK, this is a strange decision indeed. Flagship instance uses Google recaptcha (as well as Cloudflare). I can understand reasons for a recaptcha. But this should be optional, and take into account that there exist self-hosted recaptcha solutions. If software can't work without Google recaptcha, it's, em, weird. Reasonable to open an issue.

@drequivalent Hubzilla делает то же, что и остальные макроблоггинг социальные сети, + доп. возможности. Вроде хранения и шаринга файлов, несколько профилей (каналов) для разных целей, миграция профиля, и тд. Интерфейс - для тех, кто любит разбираться, т.е. не очень юзер-френдли. @armitage тысяч? тут уже я подскочила на стуле. :) было бы неплохо. в целом цифры растут, с тех пор как начался флешмоб #удалифейсбук. Сейчас the-federation.info показывает не все существующие ноды. Скоро сайт обновится и покажет больше. Админы, НЕ ЗАБУДЬТЕ зарегистрировать свой сервер на the-federation.info (если хотите участвовать в статистике) Пока только для сетей с протоколом diaspora.

About a month ago at my friend's birthday we accidentally landed on the topic of childhood games. Everyone in the room (but me) was a fan of Mario. For several minutes they discussed the new iPhone cases with Mario they had just baught, and lamented they didn't know where to buy posters.
Then I asked "Hey, and who played HoMaM"? Dead silence.
Suddenly, I felt very lonely.

@drequivalent В Mastodon тоже можно подписываться на теги, я так отслеживаю интересные темы. Поиск по тегу -> в правом верхнем углу столбца "Show settings" -> Pin. Федерироватья по идее должны со всех серверов, о которых знает ваш сервер, кроме тех, которые в бане на вашем инстансе.

@balancer Мне кажется, именно для блога подходит ZeroNet. Многие жалуются на отсутствие редактирования поста в диаспоре, не факт, что скоро появится. Единственный выход - удалить и запостить снова (в ленте у друзей пройдут оба сообщения). Диаспора, френдика идеальны для тех, кому нравится общаться в (относительно) приватной форме без ограничений по символам. Лимитированный пост, отправленный группе друзей, навсегда виден только им. Новым друзьям видны только новые лимитированные посты.

@drequivalent Спасибо! Хорошая идея с ботом. Я хотела для этих целей предложить русскоязычному Мастодону выбрать тег - чтобы желающие могли на него подписаться. В диаспоре (где тоже нет групп) используется тег lang_ru. И только одна беда с ботами и тегами - когда кто-нибудь начинает абузить и постить 100500 сообщений узкой тематики. Так произошло в диаспоре. И это challenge, который предстоит как-то решать.

@jerry @moonman The rumours about GNU Social death have been greatly exagerrated.

Thanks for your work, @vinzv I used your node occasionally, it was stable and worked as expected (unlike some GNU Social servers that hadn't updated for a while). I hope you and all the users of your node will find a new home in the Fediverse. See you later!

As for #GNU Social development, a pity it is as it is. Just days ago @dansup said he would work on ActivityPub integration, before he got disheartened by his MRs being ignored. May be something can still be done about it.
