@fl0wn @moonman RIP. I really don't want my own group to go that way either. I'd like it even more if more people could join up... so adding it to pleroma would be great in that sense!
-
@fl0wn @moonman Me either. It seems like the people that prefer qvitter aren't programmers with the motivation to accomplish this.
Oh, I think another issue I had with pleroma was feeling a bit dizzy when it comes to having to click either side of the screen and to move the timeline downwards. I was just looking at the full install at a glance.
-
@fl0wn @moonman Hmm. I think I've mentioned this before, but a good compromise for me would be to have a qvitter FE and pleroma BE. But with all the features I enjoy now like groups. The main problems we have seem to be BE related.
-
@fl0wn @moonman Well, I was using the FE for SLC I think. It has a different feel to it.
-
@fl0wn @moonman Well, the layout and features are slightly different or lacking... I tried to get into the FE for pleroma but I prefer how qvitter is. Maybe it also has an emotional component for me...
-
@fl0wn @moonman @shpufeff It's definitely not practical at this point. It's a shame because I really do like it.
-
@fl0wn @moonman @shpufeff Sounds like the people that were originally working on it are no longer doing so too. ;;
-
@fl0wn @moonman Then I'd rather we held off for a while longer. GS/qvitter is my familiarity during a time of great change and turmoil. Relates to why I left for a while a few weeks back. I don't want to lose that familiarity which is why I wanted the move to have as few changes as possible so that it would still be familiar. Plus I'm not actually very good when it comes to big change. ;;
-
@moonman @fl0wn Would I still be able to use gs/qvitter after it? I'll still want to use that for a while... which should hopefully give people some time to get certain features so we can migrate over without losing what we have now.
-
Eventually, I really need to get comfe with my curves and overall body shape. That won't be an easy one because it plays into the reason why I don't like my body.
-
@karen Well, it probably helps that they look good to us in most things. It could also be a cultural and practice thing. There might be an importance of how they dress there too. Hard to say!
-
@fl0wn @dwmatiz @moonman @rw @hakui @harmlessgryphon That's good to hear at least. I don't expect him to work on something he doesn't see the point in but it would be nice if someone who does can. I don't think lain is as protective about pleroma as gargron is with mastodon... if that is the right word.
-
@moonman @dwmatiz @fl0wn @harmlessgryphon @rw @hakui Yeah, I didn't think it would be working real soon either. Hopefully we can hold out for it long enough...
-
@hakui @dwmatiz @fl0wn @harmlessgryphon @moonman @rw Yeah, I suspected that might be the case too!
-
@moonman @dwmatiz @fl0wn @harmlessgryphon @rw @hakui Hmm... I would also like to be able to convert groups over since I wouldn't want to lose the one I have too. But that would mean finding a way to add groups to pleroma which I think lain was reluctant to do or didn't see the point in. Hopefully we can find someone with the time to be able to do these things... I would certainly be grateful.
-
@moonman @rw Yeah... I really don't want to have to try and re-find everyone again. :') I follow a lot of people. Hopefully those things will have a solution soon so that we can! The less changes possible, the better, I think.
-
@moonman @dwmatiz @fl0wn @harmlessgryphon @rw @hakui Sounds like the perfect way to get people to not use it. ;)
-
@fl0wn @dwmatiz @moonman @rw @hakui @harmlessgryphon I think I'd rather wait a bit longer until the features are there and we can transfer everything over safely without losing anything. Isn't shitposter already like a test instance which will become pleroma if not already?
-
@ducksquared RIP. No need to overthink about what to post... I normally just post whatever comes to mind!
-
@wizard @rice "Fit is everything. If it doesn't sit right, it doesn't fit right and is going to be bothersome. 'Comfort is greatly underrated,' comments Lucinda Chambers, fashion director at British vogue, 'I don't think anyone can be 'stylish' if a) the clothes don't fit or b) for any reason you feel uncomfortable in them. They just won't work.' Good fit = less faff. End of."
I wanted to share this so that you both know you don't have to stray away from feeling comfortable when it comes to how you dress. Perhaps you even should feel comfortable so that you can feel confident with your style!
