@majkatsu @rye @shmibs Oh yeah, I know this can happen with men as well. I guess someone needs to make a living, it just sucks that it ends up being at the expense of others in this case. There is a lot that I'm not so willing to do for this... I will have to keep thinking about it.
-
For anyone curious about what I was reading, it came from here: http://fitgirlsdiary.com/get-hourglass-body-shape/
Just think... soon I may not be able to share things like this because of the new laws by the EU. xD
-
"Now let’s cut to the chase. Your muscles can do two things: get bigger or get smaller.
And when you lift weights your muscles will most certainly grow.
This means your waist won’t get any smaller by training abs, therefore you can and should train abs especially your obliques without using weights.
On the other hand, you can work harder on your lower and upper body, meaning lifting heavy weights when working your legs and booty.
Plus, you can grow a wider back, shoulders, and arms to finally create the illusion of a smaller waist.
Work your whole body, part by part, shaping muscle by muscle." Yep... toning is required to give the illusion of this shape.
-
"There is not a single exercise that will help you achieve the hourglass body.
And there’s not a single body part you should work on to get bigger hips and a small waist.
People who tell you that they have the ONE exercise to help you get hourglass body shape – lie.
You know why? Because you should work on your body as a whole piece." Huh...
-
@majkatsu @rye @shmibs I guess I'd have to wear a corset and train my body in that case, which is something that I'm not willing to do and sacrifice my health over. Not that corsets don't look sexy because they do... but yeah. It's hard to know what to aim for.
-
@rye @shmibs Of course, this isn't the whole picture. Because how you hold yourself and your self-confidence also play a role for attraction. But I don't think I'll ever be comfortable with my body, I don't think I'll ever be happy with it... I'll always find something to fixate on and find wrong. If it isn't excess fat which is an obvious one then it will be something else. Which is why I feel like detaching from all this.
-
@shmibs @rye I guess... but I've always found it to be the hourglass look which I do not have. I don't even know if I have the genetics to pull it off, and it seems to require toning as well.
-
"Light colored tops and bottoms usually stand out more than darker colors.
Darker colored clothing is usually seen as more slimming."
The more you know.
-
I really like to be honest about how I look, but that's not very attractive.
-
@rye Yeah. I'm looking into this, and it seems to recommend weight training and using clothing.
-
That women will wear certain clothing to give the impression of the hourglass.
-
"Wear clothes that accentuate your waist. Even if you don't have the traditional hourglass measurements, you can create the illusion of curves by wearing the right clothes and accentuating your waist whenever possible. For example, dresses that nip in at the waist and flare out from the hips create natural looking curves.
Wear fitted trench coats or jackets with adjustable waist belts.
Add belts of all shapes and sizes to any outfit to draw attention to your waist.
Go for jackets or tops with padded shoulders to create a curvier silhouette.
Vertical stripes cinched at the waist with a belt can also create the look of a curvier figure."
Oof... just really subjecting myself to this reality.
-
@rye Hmm... I wasn't really aware people did this right now.
-
@dude Very true. Just gotta enjoy the fish while they last.
-
@rye Cute is not the same thing as being attractive or sexy tho. I'm no hourglass.
-
@xj9 @dtluna That is interesting. When I'm active, I find that I'm hungry a lot. It is kinda weird.
-
@augustus I would say especially me. I usually downplay things when asked to rate things.
-
@musicman I suppose it is a possibility, or you just haven't bumped into them yet. Thanks!
-
@xj9 @dtluna Interesting... I wonder if something like that might work for me. Is this a metabolism thing?
-
@augustus Maybe a 4 or 5? Which rating is for average, and slightly overweight? Nothing to write home about?
