In the C of E Common Worship lectionary for Morning Prayer, that reading came up the day of Trump's election.

I think the more commonly referred to image of resistance/disobedience quoted in Christian discourse is that of Jesus overturning tables in the Temple.

While I get that federation is good, I think a lot of instances are almost more like Dreamwidth communities, and it's too bad they don't function closer to that way.

But then I also prefer Dreamwidth's comment threading...

I seem to recall that identi.ca had lists or channels or something which were kindof similar but I don't remember them being distinct enough from hashtags to be helpful.
