    gopher offers an interface to uploaded files. The web requires an html/php layer (directory browser) to provide this. Or you can enable directory browsing on the web with no configurability. Like ftp browsing.

    gopher is also of interest historically as an early way to share files publicly.

    For my text file collection on SDF I use both gopher and a directory browser on the same set of text files. So all I have to do is upload a text file into a folder and it's available on both.

    @hairylarry @goofy basically yes, it's an ActivityPub object. But it's a bit smarter, since you can follow it, and it will broadcast updates as well,.

    So if tracks are added to this library and you are following it, you'll have access to them automatically.

    New NJHB CD from the New Jazz In Jonesboro Show on October 13.

    The music is just fine especially if you like vibes and piano working together like Modern Jazz Quartet. Also Sean and I did a little bit of scat singing and I even danced a little bit but, you know, you had to be there.
