Reading the MathML specification on a Sunday. As nerdy as it gets.
The World Health Organization: "recognising that gaming can be an obsession in the same way as certain addictions will make it easier for people who have these issues to receive appropriate treatment"
gamers: "top kek i'm disabled"
so. much. this.
1st Amendment talks about the right of people "peaceably to assemble" right alongside freedoms of speech and of the press. IOW freedom of association.
We all get to choose.
Librem is choosing poorly.
SOMEONE: what text editor do you use?
US [timidly]: ummmmm vim
SOMEONE: should I use vim?
US: hahahahahahahah no! god no. well, only if you really want to. we can show you the ropes if you really want, but consent will need to be explicit and continuous
SOMEONE: why does everyone say that

Update: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS under #OpenBSD VMM “how to”… :flan_hacker:
So, everything you read on the ‘net is, fundamentally, rubbish :flan_laugh:
Just grab the “mini.iso” image, create a dastardly disk and then
vmctl start banana -d mini.iso -d LeDisk.img -n transit -n nottransit -c
Then, once booted, select “command line install”, TAB, edit to change vga=off and, at the end, console=ttyS0,115200u8.
Install in peace. :flan_set_fire:
This week in frog science: Mark Scherz and his team have discovered a new genus of incredibly tiny frogs.
I am not making this up: the genus is Mini, and the three species so far identified are Mini mum, Mini scule, and Mini ature.

I’m going to #Cuba in a few weeks! Anyone have contacts at #coops there? I’d love to meet some Cuban #cooperativistas!

Haven't been logged in to the web app in a long time.
Trying the data export for the first time.
@marissaChan well, emails addresses don't get reused as much as phone numbers.
And with all its flaws, I think the SMTP/DNS/TCP/IP stack is more secure than SS7.
Also, it's easier to have multiple emails for different purposes than multiple phone numbers.
@florian @lastfuture @loke @phessler . **Actionable advice:** i.e. what you can do? Go to https://github.com/curl/curl/wiki/DNS-over-HTTPS#publicly-available-servers, choose a server you trust and enter it in the settings (note: no need to mangle with about:config BTW).
Then you get the best security you can get. Encrypted DNS to a server you trust. This is in 99% of the cases better than to your ISP's DNS or whatever is used by default on some routers or so. (hint: often it's Google DNS)
@ericbuijs Thanks, I'll post a few #FOSS adventure updates daily. We're almost done building.
Our big victory of this week was getting 2FA (via FreeIPA) for our apps and desktops to work. Biggest letdown of the week? The 2FA also works whenever you lock your pc - so whenever you come back from a bathroom break you have to generate a OTP on your phone again. Yeah.. that's a week's worth of work out the window.
