once you start questioning ideas like "is crime really bad? is crime a fake idea used to uphold the state and undermine dissent against this oppressive regime?" then you start having to look at individual "Crimes" with your own morals and judging them as such. and asking your friends for opinions and experiences that might shape your views.

and that's a much better way to reach conclusions than simply accepting what you're told.

remember, the law doesn't justly and equally apply to the lawmen, the politicians and the police, the corporations and the rich.

and they are the people that need considerations for working outside the law the least.

if we insist that we're not criminals, think about what we're saying

we're upholding the idea of crime as a bad thing, and upholding the power of the state in othering an entire class of people as "criminals" that have fewer rights than we do

we can either be shitty and try to save ourselves from inevitably being labelled as criminals, or we can fight to get rid of this negative idea and own up to it, show people how good supposed "criminals" can be

any decent person is a criminal in some way, so it's best to just own it.

@cocoron ah! makes sense then. i may be biased, but i recommend living in ontario. hamilton is my favourite city and it's the only place i've lived so far that felt like it wasn't completely dying nor overrun by rich people.

@cocoron why would you want to move to north america, if you don't mind me asking?

@cocoron the best place i've lived would probably be hamilton, ontario, canada. but in my adulthood i've never been able to afford to live there on my own unfortunately. i miss it.

@cocoron the best i can say is, wherever you can afford to live is generally not a place you'll want to live, either because of lack of resources/things to do, lack of jobs, poor climate, etc

similarly US seems to be cheaper to live but has a lower QoL than canada in general.

@Ocean22 usually one of the keys on the right hand side is set as "delete" (or dog in my case) but usually on enthusiast keyboards you can map the keys however you want

played through the first album in sound shapes on the vita last night. really neat game! i like the concept of being able to make an album of music where each track is a level in a 2d platformer.

@Ocean22 i'm personally into 75% keyboards. never been huge on numpad and these are basically tenkeyless but with a better layout. example:
