@ink_slinger Is there anything they agree on? I only have the sketchiest knowledge of either.

Peterson, it seems, can speak well off the cuff -- apparently a very popular lecturer at U of T. Zizek?

In #Montreal , the real problem with Winter the last few years is that it's too warm: too much freezing rain, too much slush, too much ice. It would be much more comfortable if it were 10°C colder and consistently dry as a consequence.

I can't answer as to how this compares with Montreal Winters in the past.

@allan TL;DR I have unconsciously validated the Atlantic article. But I think my point still holds. People forget that this winter (and all of the winters I can remember from the past few years) have been exceptionally mild because they have a few cold weeks.

Side note: everyone who drives can STFU about the cold. I walk everyday, regardless of weather and it's actually fine if you just dress properly. #HumbleBrag

As a general rule, the #Emacs faith does not proselytise.

That being said, welcome to the GNU side, oh brethren! Your official Texinfo manuals and GNU Emacs reference cards are already in the electronic post. Elisp services begin at nine and conclude with the working day, although you are free (according to the terms of the GNU General Public License version 3, or at your option, any later version) to continue for as long as you wish.

I would love to have lounge room with an entire glass wall of this globe, slowly turning at the actual speed it does from the perspective of the moon, say, but with all the interactive controls at hand when wanted. And it should show hurricane eyes, fires, and other major environmental events in real-time too.

I do not love the idea of the juice it would require, though, to keep a screen that size lit up.

After hearing from Jody Wilson-Raybould, my impression is that PM Trudeau has a certain... lack of depth.

He thinks to himself, "Of course I can get involved in this Québec political issue without crossing any ethical nes; and even if there is a certain risk of crossing lines, well, there wouldn't be any real political costs anyway."

A wiser or more cunning political leader would have known better and stayed away.
