Have you considered University of the People? I haven't gotten a degree, but I've been considering it for a while, and uopeople.edu is my main option if I go that route, because it's online, accredited, and only $4000 for a bachelor's degree. Certainly not free, but very cheap compared to the other options.

I really can't remember what my experience with Cyanogen was. It's been a while. I like LineageOS though other than the current update issue.

SSH is available on shared hosts, but what you can do with it on them is extremely limited. You won't be able to install Nodejs on it AFAIK. I checked a shared host just now that has SSH and it says Nodejs isn't supported.

@codesections I have two backups for mine. I keep them in an encrypted folder and back that up to online storage, and I also store them in my password manager.

@kev I saw in your recent blog post that you write your posts in a markdown editor. What is the benefit to this over something like LibreOffice or typing directly in Wordpress? Also, can it be directly pasted into Wordpress or do you need to reformat it after pasting?

I decided to give the Nextcloud mail app another try and it won't display Inbox subfolders, only folders which are not inside of the inbox. Sad.

@he_xie be careful not to hold his leg. If he tries to jump while you're holding his leg, it will rip off. This was a scary experience for 8 year old me.

Anyone here any good with have experience with Electron app development?

I don't need a full client for my mail, so decided to create an Electron app for my webmail client (Fastmail). It's all working, but the icon in my panel isn't working. Any ideas?

I've tried adding a line to the JS for the icon, but it isn't working.
