I like when I get one of those scam emails that are trying to blackmail me into giving them bitcoin, and it's like "egQ5LyNT2V5g is one of your passwords" meaning that they must know intimate details of my life. I'm just thinking "is it really? No idea - I use a password manager."

@foggy Are you hosting your email with Gmail? If not, you shouldn't need to add anything from them to your DNS. You need DKIM / SPF set up in your DNS though to avoid being considered spam, even if your IP isn't blacklisted (which you should also check).

It turns out that CJ's biggest issue is pneumonia. He needs to be admitted for 5 days, but it's very expensive at the hospital we're in so we're transferring to a different hospital soon.

This is CJ. He's 4 years old and lives on the street. He has a wound on his head and someone poured coffee on him, so he has a large burn on his leg. My wife and I are on our way to the hospital with him now. #TrueManila

@john very true. I didn't think about updates. I was actually thinking I'd install Ubuntu on it if I got one, but the update convenience makes me reconsider.

I've found a condo that fits my budget, is in the perfect location, and has enough space for all of us.

The issue with it is that all the windows face a wall, so there's no view and not so much sunlight.

It checks so many boxes, but that one issue feels so major to me. I feel like with living in a country with a low cost of living, I should be able to buy my dream home, but condos really aren't that cheap here.

I feel like maybe I should wait for something else, but then I might lose this one

@ohyran @colomar Unfortunately, I haven't made any techie friends here yet. There is an area that all the gamers go to buy PC parts though, called Gilmore. Maybe one of the shops there will have one they'd let me try out in-store.

@colomar Not sure if it would be. I wish I could try one out to see, but I don't have a monitor, keyboard, or mouse to try it with, so it would be an expensive trial.

I need to get 2 computers set up for my kids to do school work on. They only need a web browser.

What I'm considering:

1. A raspberry pi + $50 monitor + $30 keyboard + mouse combo

2. A cheap laptop/chromebook

I feel like the first option is less likely to break, because my kids won't be walking around with it, but the second option might be a better value.

Opinions?
