#Manyverse is an Android app for the #Scuttlebutt social network:
Unlike traditional social networks, Scuttlebutt has no servers. Members store all their personal data on their own computer or phone, and connect directly to their friends' devices in order to update statuses. Scuttlebutt also works offline.

What concerns me is that if I recommend people Wire, and they go to the Wire website, they will see something that doesn't look like it's intended for ordinary people. The front page of the site talks about productivity, collaboration, conference calls etc.
It's an odd look for an app aimed at non-techies?

I'm not 100% comfortable listing Signal to be honest, but it's easy to use, widely supported and aimed at end users. It's at least a better option than Whatsapp, FB Messenger etc.
