Interesting (though legally rather "well, duh") bit: if you write privacy policies that are so vague that people can't know what they mean in practice you cannot use them as an argument for having consent.

Result will be probably a slap on the wrist with regard to penalties, but I have good hopes there will at least be compliance as the maximum fines are rather high even by multinational standards.

@mangeurdenuage @maiyannah Doubt it, Gitlab Omnibus' variety of controlling everything is Puppet, not Systemd. Basically that omnibus package is a system onto itself and any attempts to tune it to your system are doomed to failure.

@maiyannah IIRC I solved that in the past by putting a proxy (Caddy - not my choice - but Nginx should work too) in front of it as TLS termination. Was a bit finicky with passing the right headers though.

@maiyannah You could also install gitlab manually without omnibus but I doubt there are enough painkillers in your building for that.

@maiyannah Because it wants its own nginx with custom puppet generated config files to do it. I feel your pain (the gitlabby stuff, thankfully not the hospitally stuff).
