@gameragodzilla @maiyannah
This whole cycle of 'firsts' is gonna re-appear every decade and a bit or so.

Black science guy foolishly getting something wrong it an attempt to look smart? But Liz :O that almost never happens :O
-
@maiyannah @gameragodzilla
Well it being a prequel, even if one does care about Han (which I mean, I do...at least as he is played by Ford, dunno 'bout new guy)
Feels...a bit...how do I put this.
The way it's described there sounds like even if you care about him as a character, it's a prequel, so he has to live, thus the story has to be good on it's own, and if it's awkward middle bit level, it shan't be.

@maiyannah @gameragodzilla
maybe it's excercise, maybe it's pains, maybe it's lovely times with liz, who knows!
what a gameshow.

@gameragodzilla
I might see it if I get the chance, cos well, I like Chewbacca, and I wanna see if Donald Glover does an alright Lando or not.
Kinda up in the air tho.

-
gods so fucking tired

Eh, I wouldn't take diet tips from me tho. I make up for having a rubbish diet through excercise more than anything.
A rubbish diet in terms of barely eating, that is. Don't much get chance, and when I do...well it's stuff that's really simple but filling, like the afformentioned bread.
-
@maiyannah @gameragodzilla
Buttered Naan bread is great.
...Come to think of it I have most things along those lines either totally on their own or with butter. I eat wraps without anything else as just a snack sometimes.
-
@maiyannah
It actually looks...surprisingly decent on phone :3 And the use of the art in the corner of the images is very neat. I’ll make a note to check computer when I’m next up there.
-
@maiyannah
Mhm, it's...just a shame really. I much prefer there being no truly right answer, makes the choices more difficult and encourages repeat runthroughs.
If it's possible to just create the perfect world in every way, why would anything else ever be picked or done once you know the 'right' choices?
-
@viciousviscosity
Exactly, and that's far more interesting a debate in a videogame in which you have to choose between them or others, than "one is just clearly right and better for everyone."
-
Good guys: "We'll pay you to work with us, and we'll make the world a better place."
Bad guys: "We will destroy fucking everything for no purpose."
Even if -you- are evil, siding with the bad guys there is just self sabotage. You can't benefit from a destroyed world.
Whereas in a faction based system/principle based one, both good and evil characters have different genuine justifications for joining each. Cos it's not as binary, it's personal beliefs.
-
Plus, the problem with having an objectively good faction and an objectively bad one. Is that...no matter who you are, you'd logically back the good one.
Obviously a good alligned character would back the good one. A neutral character would because they can operate better in a stable world, and even an evil character would likely side with the ones who improve the world, because siding with the objectively bad faction just -fucks over your character- cos they now live in a worse world.
If you want goodness to all, you want the world to improve, if you're selfish and evil...you still want the world to improve because it's the world you live in.
-
I oft see a lot of comments like this made, and it just...confuses me. Simultaneously desiring choices and proper impact for those choices, but then complaining if things go badly.
It wouldn't be very interesting if whatever your choice was, you got a shade of happy sunshine times.
Pick your choice, one leads to brilliant lollipops, one leads to amazing rainbows, or maybe if you're lucky, lollipops and rainbows!
-
Reading comments on various different RPGs and games with choice systems, and a few complaints boil down to "I want consequences but I don't like how I got bad ones when I did bad things."
To which case...you didn't really want consequences then?

"Black rapper does fucking stupid thing" could be the headline for a good 60% of the news these days.
