You know what has just occurred to me...i have been a Linux user for over 10 years and I have never tried Debian on a no-server machine. Like ever.

@AvnSgt Pop! is based on Ubuntu as I understand it, so I would assume it probably won't affect it? Either that, or it will completely obliterate it. 😂😂

@mike my Chromebook is by far the best lightweight laptop I have ever bought. Caveat to that being "lightweight". For booting up and going online/checking mail, there is no better device.
However, I'm not sure how pleased I would be if they muddied the water with touch support. It frustrates the shit out of me - a user engages completely differently with K&M than touchscreen. I wish manufacturers would stop chasing the convergence pipe-dream. It's always gonna be a compromise somehow.

@BlossomingLuddite @Gargron should be able to tell you. ;)

@nostr0mo I'll be publishing an article on that in the next week or two (as I'm replacing Gmail). However, if you want something sooner, hit me up privately and I can offer up some advice. 👍

@BlossomingLuddite as soon as Pop! Gets released, I'll be giving it a try. I know it's currently in beta, but I prefer to test stable releases.

@nostr0mo I'm a fair way there. Just need to get rid of Google Drive and Gmail (Inc. Contacts and cal). I've already got replacements lined up, just need to write about it and finish testing.

Do you have you own domain name? If not, why not?

@Gargron very similar to what I came up with. :-)
If you want the vectors, let me know. :-)

@Gargron had a play around in Inkscape for 5 minutes. What about something like one of these? https://fosstodon.org/media/CPyxJG-aC_7gDhU-X0I

@warrax didn't consider a simple script actually. Doh! That would work well. I would never store creds in plain text - too risky.

@warrax I don't mean "save sessions" as in persistence, but rather being able to save the session details, so I can click and connect. I have many sessions, some use keys, others use passwords and others use bounce boxes first. So keeping track of them is a nightmare, so really need a way of saving my session details, rather than the sessions themselves. Hope that makes more sense?

@lx I don't think I've been quite clear - I don't need to save the session in terms of persistence, I mean save the details of the session, so I don't have to manually enter IPs etc every time I connect.

@lx I have lots os sessions, some use bounce servers etc. So being able to save sessions saves a lot of headaches for me.

@BlossomingLuddite I've not had that problem with Solus (although I only started using it last night), but I did have that problem in Zorin, which was immediately apparent.

Can anyone recommend a good SSH client for Linux? I know I can use the terminal, but I would like something that can save my sessions. Thx!
