@bobstechsite @kev I don't see what the problem is with brands having a fediverse presence. If you're not interested in what they have to say, don't follow them. That's no different than any other person posting.

That said, a company should probably run their own Mastodon server.

@jeffcliff I was actually thinking of companies and other non individuals, and their corporate identity.

Individuals often manage multiple identities, some of which depends on the specific site on which they do it

@jeffcliff if this isn't reason enough for never managing your identify on Facebook, I don't know what is. Yet, people will still do it.

It would be nice if you could share the content of the twitter message instead of just a link to it, by the way.

@spl I've been on G+ from the beginning and follow lots of interesting people there. Lately however, even before the announcement that they are shutting down, I have spent more time here. You'll find lots of interesting people, I hope.

I have notices that a lot of the G+ community seems to be going to pluspora. I have an account there but I haven't really used it much. I find Mastodon t be a better experience, at least currently.

@spl something I've said in the past is that Common Lisp and Haskell are almost polar opposites in terms of programming styles. One is incredibly pragmatic and supports pretty much every programming style in existence while the other is incredibly strict. Still, the communities have more in common than most others.

@axiom @amiloradovsky (I might be jumping right into a bear den here) but it's interesting how I, who is not a mathematician but trying to become better, after reading your discussion understand both arguments but I still have no idea who's right.

Is it correct to say that both of you are arguing different things?

@impiaaa @typhlosion well, Chinese has a lot of that. A new language could optimise for those same features. Those features include having a lot of words that are pronounced the same, because you have very few phonemes. Also make sure your grammar don't add any suffixes or such things that would change words according to context

@quad @Wolf480pl That is fair, and they do something similar here in Singapore too. In Sweden, however, the lower limit is very low, and even people with very low salaries have to pay tax.

@quad @Wolf480pl I see. Thanks a lot for the information. I look a look at the tax tables, and I noted that taxes for people with very low salaries is fairly low, which is fair, in my opinion.

I think that any income below the minimum required to live should be taxed at 0.

@quad @Wolf480pl Is that a different calculator to the one I used? There is one that is linked from the page that you shared, and it has a field where you have to put in your table.

I wanted to see what tax I'd get if I was working in Norway, but to do that I'd need to find out which table which is why I was asking. Do they just tell you what table to use, and then you simply fill it in?

In this particular case, wouldn't you just be typing \legislation{C-y} ?

I do think that I have misunderstood what you want to do though.

@smallsees They do it because they can.

You can always use a remailing service, I guess. It would still be cheaper than ordering from AU.

Don't you have any local vendors that provides this product?
