? (cybre aspect) (0x3f@cybre.space)'s status on Friday, 17-Aug-2018 20:15:54 EDT ? (cybre aspect) @Ronflaix there are plans for multi device, and in fact multi writer DAT should be merged soon! @aral has a great post about it here https://ar.al/2018/08/04/multiwriter-dat-could-power-the-next-web/
Yes, DAT archives are mutable, so you can update files on the same DAT link (if you hold the key). It's more than decentralised, it's p2p. Anybody that wants can also host your archive. The link is a reference to an archive, rather than specific machine as in the case of HTTP

? (cybre aspect) (0x3f@cybre.space)'s status on Friday, 17-Aug-2018 19:39:35 EDT ? (cybre aspect) @Ronflaix currently i believe DAT CLI doesn't yet implement multi writer DAT, this means that only the computer that creates the archive can edit it. If you want to migrate (and redeploy) you're going to have to copy the keys from the original machine. An alternative would be to simply push updates to a server like you do now with http, or make your local machine the owner and simply "host" on your server. Permissions dont exist, since only the original creator can edit files. i hope this help!

(cybre aspect) @rixx yes, im using it. i dont like their branding (only their frontend is open source, and they lie about their "dont use algorithms"), but as a tool im liking it. i wish it was a bit more flexible, but the community there is interesting.

? (cybre aspect) (0x3f@cybre.space)'s status on Saturday, 11-Aug-2018 06:58:35 EDT ? (cybre aspect) @minx I'm using the Kobo Aurora and much prefer it to my (expired) paper white. it comes with all the things you request (epub/pdf support, backlit, calibre). though avoiding the sign sign up gets a bit technical (editing an SQL database), so you may still have to give up some personal data. PDF support could be a bit better too, but overall i really like it and haven't found anything better.
