@jk Wow this could lead to great advancement in encabulator design!
This discovery proves that you could magnetically levitate the ambiphasic lunar wainshaft to completely eliminate side fumbling!

@karim2k @Sir_Boops @slipstream you only need to create one profile on one instance server and manage it there. The servers all interoperability with each other in a "federation" .
For example I am on a server called coales.co and you are on mastodon.social and we are interacting without having profiles on each other's servers right now!
@jk I've felt like a mono-functional knob at some jobs. Perhaps we are all just interface elements and Earth is just one big planetary programmer 🤔
Chai Tea with a bit of maple syrup!
😊☕👌
@cypnk Seems that way.
To me, FB somewhat resembles Yahoo Chat at the start of its decline, when most rooms were infested with varying levels of spam bots and trolls that ran "booters" to crash other chatters' clients for lulz.
d'OH! I was rickrolled by your @nowplaying bot @djsundog 😝
Hey anyone running a small Mastodon instance want to form a collective to share on-call, resources, tips for keeping these things running, etc?
@xj9 we will have achieved peak absurdity when the US presidential election is between Oprah Winfrey and Duane "The Rock" Johnson.
@KitRedgrave @er1n You should still be able to get a PIC microcontrller which is a static design that can work from 20MHz all the way down to zero to "pause" them.
The 2600 system clock ran at colourburst/3 speed (for NTSC about 1.2MHz). With today's tech building something as simple as a 6507 and TIA is probably more accessible to hobbyists than ever before actually. I think it isn't done often because being creative in such an environment is extremely challenging. #racingthebeam
@KitRedgrave I was hacking a bit in middle school even lol.
That was when I graduated from LOGO and BASIC to Z80 assembly. Resources were quite constrained and making games go fast and smooth required programming in a "hackish" way. Basically they were real time embedded systems.
Also I didn't learn from experts/teachers, I read books and later BBS forums so I probably make some horrible code, though I can now make an Arduino do lots of stuff LOL
Some day I really want to call the final stage of a project I work on "System Handover Integrated Testing" then see how long before anyone notices 😏
Enginerding lesson with the kidlet...sooo cute 😊
@colon_three it...it's like...Add one part each of English, Welsh and Gaelic. Seal tightly and shake vigourously 😜
@DistroJunkie I'm a bit surprised the electronics in washing machines (for laundry and dishes) are not conformally coated given the environment they operate in. It is almost mandated in some similar environments when used for industrial / commercial applications.
But then it doesn't add to safety or performance, only longevity. As such manufacturers of consumer appliances would see it as a bug not a feature. #plannedobsolescence
@tom @dzuk aw c'mon it isn't that bad lol

and it always warms up again, at least for a bit.
holy shit this soundtrack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSGk1bQ9rcU
@Elizafox what if we don't want to? 😏
O yeah also the fact this page exists in 2018 is delightful beyond words...
@balrogboogie this looks similar to what I had happen when I tried to upgrade my instance to (I think) 1.6 awhile back. It has been fine since I provisioned 4GiB of memory to the VM it is installed in. It was the best guess that was the problem when the physical server hosting the VM barked at me that a VM was at 100% memory use.
Mastodon is great but a bit "husky". It could be worse though at least it isn't an electron app!
@viciousviscosity whenever I have to do something to cover my a$$ I will say I have "posterior motives" now!
@viciousviscosity @tcql such a #dadjoke 😝
