@ninjawedding There are a few different intuitive descriptions in the back of the manual - my favourite is the "cellular automaton" angle but which one is most accessible depends on one's background
@jk It is traditionally said that you can cook a potato in a post of oversalted food and it will absorb the salt, but I'm not convinced that this is actually true.
I'm gradually reposting the material from my thing-a-day project, November 2001. Some of the items are better than others and I'm not sure I will flag them all here, but at least here is the first one: "Intercepted" http://ansuz.sooke.bc.ca/entry/40
@guizzy Basically the same thing I thought. Visually beautiful, but other than that, it's a Hollywood action movie. It's not really GitS. Doesn't have the complicated political background and philosophical themes that make the franchise what it is. I thought the actor who played Batou did a good job.
The Ch`ing win again. This playthrough felt like it followed historical events more closely than any other so far, but the Allies won in history, and they never have won in any of my test games. I think I'm just going to have to uniformly reduce all the Ch`ing unit strengths.
I'm operating on the assumption that "SUPREME COURT UPHOLDS TRUMP TRAVEL BAN" means they've confirmed Donald Trump is not allowed to travel anymore because he's too embarrassing to the United States when he does. Please don't burst my bubble on this.
