you ever see a brand new album cover that's painstakingly done up to look like a piece of shit folk rock self-release from the 1960s and think "oh fuck off, who are you kidding"

i regularly see posts about things being Actually Bad and i guess i just kinda trust people when they call out something (especially when it's stuff i'm not familiar with, like Video Games Culture) but maybe sometimes people just wanna cause drama and trouble?? but what can i do really, i gotta believe people when they say something has hurt them, don't wanna accidentally support the wrong thing just because i wasn't paying attention

unlike many 16 year olds in 2009, i was reading Godel Escher Bach and not Homestuck, but it doesnt matter! because the two works are actually IDENTICAL in purpose, scope, and quality, both having exactly the same universal acclaim that derives from the effort-justification of having to finish chapter upon chapter of poorly-executed cultural references, interspersed with silly pictures and endless-but-ultimately-pointless dialogues between four characters
