@detectivehyde You prefer the pleased confusion? Yeah... when I think about the past, it's not something that readily happened to me when I became a teenager and then young adult. Although I didn't really appreciate one time during a certain period where a guy who just started talking to me expected to see a photo of my breasts, and then he just wanted an image of my cleavage. It felt dismissive of how I felt about it because he didn't see the big deal. It was more an expectation he had. -

Visually, I don't feel like I'm anything to write home about.
Plus I feel like there is something admirable with the confidence and courage that some women have when they can show off their bodies which is something that I don't have. I don't want to show off my body but it's not something I want to be afraid of at the same time.
Like I probably won't dress up provocatively when I'm out and about, and I have less incentive to do that now because I feel like it is done for male attention or attention overall. I don't need the attention of strangers. For this same reason, I'm not going to take photos and share myself in that way. You never know what happens to those anyway. -

I'm really not good at the whole being flirted on thing. -

@dolus @hakui @phildobangnz Oh gawd... they are still at it? Well, I'm glad to see you still around so I guess it wasn't as serious. I feel like I was almost/borderline involved at one point as well. Unless that was just your flirting/joking. ;; -

@djsumdog I'm not a fan of CoC. The SQLite was amusing, but I would prefer not to have them. They invariably become a tool for political gaming instead of programming and making some cool stuff, which is what interests me. -

"Wear your apron for your man:
The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Cooking is an admirable quality. Your husband will feel special when you cook him his favorite meal. You need not be a great cook, but the fact that you made an effort to cook something, especially for him, matters. Also, cooking together is an awesome way to rekindle your bond. It is an affair with food."
I'm glad they mentioned cooking together because it just makes everything that more special! -

@detectivehyde @lenneth I've also found out that it's not really skills that seem to be passed down anymore which sucks. It seems like we're supposed to pick it up on our own through watching or learning the skillset by ourselves. -

The whole strong independent woman movement makes it seem as if you need to be independent all the time but that's not the case. -

@lenneth Yeah. It also implies that we need to do it all again, or else we are a financial drain on him and most guys don't like this, apparently. If you want some help, it's important to request it as well rather than what this says. If a guy wants to help you out then he'll do it regardless. If you don't tell him then he never knows if you need/want him to help you with something.
