well i listened to the album all the way through again but i have a headache and don't feel too great so i'm skipping splat and maybe even star trek tonight. we'll see how i feel in a few minutes

i'm liking pray for the wicked a lot more than i expected. think i'll give it another listen before diving into some splat tim

then again, someone can slap the word "survival" or "open world" on a game and promise realistic graphics, realistic/exaggerated physics, and some sort of power fantasy, and i'll probably eat it up

what in the mind of developers of 3d games translates "kid" into "smooth sculpted clay art style" and "upbeat and cheery but relatively homogenous orchestral pieces"

why do all kid-oriented 3d platformers/collectathons look and sound exactly the same, as though they're all the same game with a different skin?

@monorail i guess "worry" was a bit of a strong word. it's just something that came across my mind where i was like "in a perfect world, what would i do?"

i know i'm not doing anything bad in this case but i also want to be the best i can be so i will always try to think of the little things so long as they're not causing me a huge deal of stress, y'know?

@monorail yeah i figured they would, but i still worry about What If They Didn't, or furthermore, am i abusing power by just adding whever i want?

@jk i'd say this is pretty tiny

if you're part of some kind of community (like a discord server) is it bad form to invite a new user without asking other members if they know them/are okay with having a new person join? just in case they have bad history, or someone might feel uncomfortable around a new person and unable to say the things they really want to

i guess the answer might differ between "close friend group discord" and "random internet stranger discord" though i guess the one i run is kinda both?

i mean i guess they were fighting from the get go and only really tried talking when it was safe to do so which was pretty good, but a lot of folks are gonna miss the nuance and just go straight to "talking is always the one true way to end conflict"

talking is good but specifically sitting down with your enemies and talking it out is sort of a privileged thing and probably not going to work in most cases.

i'm glad it did in this case because honestly having villains that are complete villains all the time is tiresome but...i still worry about the influence our favourite media can have on us.

i enjoyed the new episodes a lot but i'm almost certain people are gonna ignore the fact that writers can make any situation work out the way they want to and insist that we just need to be talking more to solve our current political climate
