current mood: starting to feel weird about the only things i see in theaters being giant franchise megacorp comic book movies and also pretty stoked to be seeing black panther later on.

@codl this is pretty much the inverse of my cat, who spent this saturday morning walking back and forth across my face so that i'd get out of bed where he could more easily bite my ankles.

@pnathan my life now is good in a lot of ways it wasn't when i was in school, but i think often about how i lived then in a diverse community where people would just walk down the hall and knock on my door to bullshit for a while or drag me out on some adventure, and about how a college campus and its surrounding environs are a kind of shared living space that exists almost nowhere else in american life.

@lawremipsum i think as long as it's one of "badly" or "not at all, really", it goes quite a long ways towards satisfying their core ideological requirement at this point.

@chosafine it's 20°F and 6" of fresh powder has just fallen where i live and i could not agree more.

@nolan nowhere in this entire extended tragedy, of course, did it occur to anyone that we could just build websites that don't transfer more data than the installation media of pre-2012 operating systems and make everybody's laptop fans spin.

so in one of those "welp, i'm massively in debt, aw fuck it" moments that do so much for my long-term financial wellbeing & stability, i ordered a keyboard / sequencer thing from france to plug into the synth.

i am going to make _so many_ terrible noises.
