(I could never have a conversation like this on Twitter, not with almost 10K followers to annoy, Mstodon lets me chat, and lets people listen in or not, whatever they choose)
@mackiwg@lightweight Ideally, different pages could have different scaffolds - some pages are authored collaboratively via a wiki, others version control and forking like Git...
@mackiwg@lightweight Haven't used flat file for ages - Grav is new to me - my experience was that it was faster but didn't scale well, MySQL handled multiple requests much better (f you kept searches simple)
@mackiwg Yeah... I can do that with the gRSShopper graph now... but want to be able to do it as a multi-user graph... gonna need IPFS to do that, for the unique identifiers (that's why I'm developing CARE)
As I look at wat you hav, the tech stack has to be institutional - media wiki, wordpress, etc... for me, using a wiki would look like, when you create a 'page' data type, your interface takes on the properties of a wiki
@mackiwg I've been wondering myself. Right now I just read/write directly to Mastodon using the API. I like that. And I worry about drowning out longer blog-like posts under a pile of twitter-like posts. in el30 I'm presenting them seprately.
Ack, it's the end of September? Time flies! The site exists at https://el30.mooc.ca but it's just a placeholder. I'm building it as we speak (and writing some blog posts about how I'm building it on Half an Hour).

Dentists call for pudding and sweet soft drinks ban in schools #oldailyhttps://www.downes.ca/post/68626 But if they don't have their pudding they won't eat their meat. How can they eat their meat if they don't have any pudding? .
@theartguy we always started at 9:00 when I was a kid. The neighbour kids here get picked up by the school bus at 9:00. I would find it very hard to start earlier.
