@Downes ..chuckled at the intro to week 2 :) and again at week 3. two students...
really good videos
So when I got to number 4 I saw that you asked for help captioning it, so I transcribed it. Let me know if it's useful and I can do the others. It's important stuff and making things accessible is important. I'll find you email and send you the transcript.
I really can't spell (undiagnosed dyslexic - at primary school in the 80s they just said to write your spelling words out 100 times and that was that) so in my last toot, I had titled it 'business' and had to look up to see if busy-ness actually had a 'y' in it.
Intriguing that business and busyness are a single letter apart. ...makes me think (and smile that I have a whole day without it today) Words, actions, thoughts, and life.
I just slept for 8 hrs 43 mins, I woke up wishing I could just sleep some more - you know, when you need to recover from being too busy? Thing is, recovery, even from a week of overuse, involves the body taking its own pace, not the 'now' pace I want.
All that great balance I cultivated over the summer. First port of call today is to find that paper with the important things on it (like yoga, reading, cello, & family) & stick it to my forehead. #goodmorning#smallstories
@ShorterPearson my week involved Iceland, London, Manchester, a project launch with a school, and normal Uni teaching. Sometimes it just all happens at once !
Brought three of my students to Manchester to present with me and they were fab! Makes the 4:30am start all worth it. I didn't stream this one (student's request) but I wish I did!! They said some GREAT things. (proud co-learner moment) :) Maybe you can see my one student's notes... on the white sheet of paper - in braille! #thisdayhttps://mastodon.social/media/qWo8KMEPnpIMDMbMhK8https://mastodon.social/media/48EDIF4rh_Yh3LYOMjs
oh, when the penny drops. Suddenly there isn't so much of a need to answer that question, (not in the immediate sort of way at least) as many of the people asking don't really want to hear or listen.
@jillybobww I love your cats. (so does my daughter) we aspire to have cats, but they make us sneeze and we just aren't tidy enough not to find them hiding under something somewhere :) ...my husband claims that in a former life I was a cat...
just to say thanks- the cats are lovely and they make us smile with their toe beans, curious sideways faces, and wonderfully relaxed stretches. 🐾
@clhendricksbc Hi Christina, I've had advice that it's ok, but the UX is not ideal - e.g. typing whole strings into mobile devices, and it doesn't look more secure re 2 factor authentication (which LastPass has)... With these tools it's about what is good enough, really understanding what problem we want to fix, and remembering that actually, everything can be broken. :) for my needs and ease of use LastPass is more than adequate.
