Have I mentioned lately that faulting & parenting (particularly at the same time) are hard. After a week of heartache, I think I am *almost* back to where I think I was on Sunday.

This week was definitely one step forward, two steps back, but hopefully poised for two steps forward next week. (Fingers crossed)

@Nomadwarmachine My point is that folks stay in situations that may not be in their best interest for a lot of complex reasons. It usually comes down to believing the issues they are currently facing are "less bad" and "more manageable" than the risks of leaving.

We accept trolls (abuse) on bird site as part of the deal. There was a time I accepted being sworn at & more (abuse) as part of the deal. Once normalized it tends to escalate, but the longer you're in, the harder it is to leave.
