I really hate the way fleabay does auctions. There's no point to bidding until the literal last minute, because any other time you're just raising the price for whoever finally wins. And so you have to be on line at the literal last minute.

I mean, there's a secondary dynamic. Nazi scum flock to unmoderated spaces (or sometimes build them, like Voat, Gab, and Pleroma). The unmoderated presence of Nazi scum on those platforms drives away everyone else, until there's no one else left.

That makes sense to me. I'm mainly on leftist subs and fandom or hobby subs. The leftist subs are almost always good except for periodic outbreaks of sectarian infighting. The other subs depend *heavily* on how good their moderators are.

Hey, this looks nice. #Patchfox, by Soapdog, is a Secure Scuttlebutt #SSB client, written as a #Firefox WebExtension. When this gets up to speed, it will let me eliminate another Electron application.

(Yeah, I have tried #patchfoo, and I like the way it runs, but it seems to be missing a lot of features compared to #Patchwork.
