Lots of cultural and architecture stuff in Glasgow & Edinburgh. For the best in nature and scenery you want the north and west Highlands (I might be biased, but it is still true).

Attention all vehicle drivers.
Give cyclists at least 6 feet (2m) wide berth when overtaking.
For the first time in ages I was cycling on a trunk road. There is nothing quite like a 10 ton truck, travelling at 60mph and just scraping past your elbow to loosen your bowel movements.
Allow a little extra space, people's lives are at stake.

Did you know that there is a tomb marking the burial place of Spain's fascist dictator, Francisco Franco? Franco who was supported into power by Hitler & Mussolini. The tomb is situated in Valle de los CaΓdos, the construction of which was conceived by Franco.
The recently installed PM Pedro SΓ‘nchez has now issued a legal decree to remove Franco's remains. Not before time you'd think, but the plans aren't going smoothly.

Crop spraying (herbicides & pesticides) causes lots of problems including killing bees and contamination caused by run-off. The true cost of these things are much greater than the purchase price of the chemicals.
Forestry is a crop and usually a monoculture. Quite a lot of spraying is used to keep it that way
Plus, my dog never bothers reading those signs.

Our dog sometimes takes a dislike to other male dogs, but strangely, not all male dogs. I've learned to spot the signs and get him on leash before he eats the other dog.

In a forest nearby there are some escaped wild boar. One of the things they do, is dig-up bracken, as they like eating the roots. Improves bio-diversity no-end. Instead of chemicals there is a natural solution staring us in the face. Maybe not suitable for every area but for some certainly.

He looks angelic in that photo, but he can be a wee terror as well as a wee terrier. Although, for a Scottie he is pretty big at 16Kg.
