It just occurred to me that "everybody" is an acceptable loss when it comes to gun rights. There's no death toll high enough to turn Americans against their Second Amendment rights. That's just how Americans roll. Seriously.

We all want the gun we or the enemy used when we were young, even if we were never in a war. I've been intentionally avoiding 'black rifles' just for that reason. My Glocks are 'black pistol' enough.

We even share stories about how other people get to shoot muggers, robbers, and home invaders. Guns have nothing at all to do with need, they have to do with both want and also the Constitution.
