@paulfree14 I guess my other criticism is that memes are in and of themselves a tool of propaganda (or at least a format that propaganda adapted well to) and like other forms of media, often distort the complexity of truth to binary logic.

Consider for the moment that the two factions being depicted are Right-Wing Nazis, and Leftist Communists, and that if you don't belong to one group, you belong to the other. And if you belong to either one, you must accept all their values by proxy.

@paulfree14 There are obviously real Nazis out there, and in 2017, anyone is capable of seizing an audience through online platforms.

The empowerment of White Nationalists vis-a-vis the Trump Administration is of huge concern to the American population, along with the rest of the world.

However, I believe that memes like this actually push non-radicals away from positions of social justice, and alienate them to the point that they withdraw from any kind of constructive movement.

@paulfree14 It's super reductive, in several dimensions.

Firstly, asserts that anyone who holds criticism of Antifa (or specifically, people carrying out actions in the movement's name) is literally so stupid that they cannot tell the difference between a Nazi and someone that opposing a Nazi.

Secondly, there is a well-documented problem in which people who are simply right-leaning are labeled as being Nazis, which is actually somewhat ahistorical and makes Leftism less approachable.
