@phoe (venturing a guess) for people such as yourself and myself who look at things this way, yes -- the author though is talking about "Pride" as a signifier though, not literally in terms of its numerous potentials and actualities.
if anything, "Pride" is so varied, that it's at least partially an empty signifier, the same way "gourmet" is. Especially on a global level.

@OutOnTheMoors @amylsacks the only hestitation i have about building in this context (personally, not at all in general) is not knowing the scope of wierd twitter migration patterns, other than "probably large"
the past couple of months have been like "oh cool, weird Masto is a thing now" *follows*, followed by "my feed is starting to become nothing but weird Masto tweets now, or will be shortly at this rate" a few hours to a day later

succinct poetic rephrasing by replacing subtrees with semantically similar subtrees of shorter length. using project gutenberg poetry as a corpus, this works really well. going the opposite direction (i.e., finding longer subtrees) doesn't work as well, I think because spacy's parser just isn't satisfyingly accurate on poetry?

what is accelerationism is nostalgia for when you could brick a power supply by leaving it on overnight, and possibly the computer with it
i remember a C64 supply overheating to the point that it was a grey blob with components sticking out of it inside, and the screen was displaying random characters as a result

- this makes sense to me, i fall into a pattern of frequently but not consistently waking up in the middle of the night, then going back to bed around 5 AM, give or take, in the winter.
right now, it's different in this hemisphere ofc, but i'm working on it, going back through to find things that did work, etc.
