@bob s/humanity/corporate interests/g. Sorry, TBL lost all credibility with me after backing DRM in web standards. But maybe I'm throwing the baby out with the bathwater as usual.
@ckeen I guess I misunderstand the nature of GPL - you have to release modifications of GPL software but not your own developed bits that don't use it I guess. Good point.
@bobjonkman @rtsn I don't use the webUI but the calendar on ownCloud talks with iThings and Android (via DAVdroid) well enough. (Gave up updating DAVdroid after updates broke things a couple of times though.) Is NextCloud worth migrating to?

> Eben made legal threats towards another project with ties to FSF. These threats were based on a license interpretation that ran contrary to how free software licenses had been interpreted by the community for decades, and was made without any prior discussion with the FSF.
> At Libreplanet earlier this year he made direct threats against an attendee - this was reported as a violation of the conference's anti-harassment policy.
@internetturtle If you use ed the slow bit is the user rather than the program so response time doesn't matter ;-) (I still use ed occasionally when configuring something over a serial connection without a terminal emulator.)
