@julianruf What was Dell's answer?
@jondavidenas Firefox with the right settings and add-ons.
@vinzv GitLab always has been caring about a higher compliance level regarding GNU open source/free software criteria than GitHub. https://www.gnu.org/software/repo-criteria-evaluation.en.html
Let's face it: GitHub has been used by many projects, but since M$oft bought it, it's like a shithole. That place stinks. Probably this is why the masses migrate to other repository services.
This is a cool project:

Actually the filter they're talking about in this article would be a nice Mastodon feature, in order to protect the users' pictures: https://futurism.com/filter-photos-facial-recognition-software/
@FerdiFZ As far as I can tell M$oft always disliked Linux and FOSS - and they always will, regardless what they're claiming.
I said goodbye to M$oft a long time ago - now time has come to say goodbye to GitHub as well!
As a sidenote: One can hardly call Windows 10 an OS anymore, as it became more like a spyware. What a shame.
@matt Yeah, although Kubuntu is one of the lesser reliable distros out there. At least according to my experience. If it has to be KDE, I'd opt e.g. for OpenSuse. But for newbies an Ubuntu based distro is probably a good choice.
Just realized there is a movie called Mastodon (2013)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3219314/
"Old memories and ghosts from the past resurface when a man reluctantly agrees to help his now-alcoholic childhood friend sober up over the course of a weekend."
@brnrd I think uMatrix is brilliant.
I always wondered if/how it'd be possible to create a database (which would be easy to update) with the settings for each site with the lowest number of permissions possible to load the site. Every user could load the settings from that database if they don't want to fiddle with the settings.
As a sidenote: Actually you don't even need youtube to watch youtube videos as there are Hooktube and FreeTube.
Well, I'm not thrilled.
@isak I was told about it before, just forgot to change the description. There is a Stallman emoji as well.
@david_ross "The device then retrieved the reporter’s private messages and the responses to them, along with the name and user ID of each person with whom he was communicating."
Perverse!
@hund Time to say goodbye to github!
@DoctorCorto It just means that the team would play in the second division instead of the first (highest) one.
@DoctorCorto As for "Debian based" and "community driven" there is one called BunsenLabs. It comes with openbox.
I wonder how long is the battery time on a T410 with Qubes as this distro is a bit ressource hungry.
@kelbot Yeah, I always thought there is a secret agreement between hardware manufacturers and M$oft to slow down PCs artificially after 3-4 years. Users buy a new one and generate profit for the manufacturers, who in turn deliver the machines again with horrible M$oft products.
@DoctorCorto I'm not from Denmark and I still don't know if Randers FC got relegated. There was no single answer to that question.
@nostr0mo Not a single answer...
Developers, do not embed Google’s products on your sites & compromise the privacy of your visitors.
#CleanUpTheWeb & strip your site of tracking devices by Google, Facebook, etc. to make the web safer. Yes, that includes Google Fonts loaded from Google’s servers.
@MereLinuxMortal Interesting. I tried pinafore, but in the end halcyon is just more comfortable for me.
