@Tusky up date on the bug of not being able to boost and favourite - looks like it's only within notifications. Feeds are fine.

@lx I'm not a fan of cinnamon, never have been. Although, I haven't tried it in like 4 years.

Ok, so after hearing so many people go on about Mate, and watching a couple of @ChrisWere videos, I’ve decided to give it go. I have never played with it before, but after spending 20 mins with it in a live environment, it’s just like have Ubuntu back when it was awesome (pre 2012). Definitely gonna be installing it and seeing how things go.

@mike it's a great distro. I also like how they're building it themselves from scratch, rather than rehashing Ubuntu, like so many seem to do these days.

@mike no mate. I had a play with Pop! but my work flow isn't really conducive to Gnome. I prefer Solus.

Phew! That was a busy 24 hours! I'm back up and running on my new Nextcloud server, and all my emails are restored. I suppose one good thing came out of all this - I got to test my backup routines, and they all work! 👌

If you don't have a backup routine, make sure you have one. You never know when you're gonna need it.

@jackbaty I'd recommend https://masto.host cheap and really good hosting. By the time you have paid for a vps, this is cheaper.

@MooShoe I was thinking of doing the same. Still might, but for now, I just need to get back up and running.

@Tusky there seems to be an issue with your app. I can't favourite or boost anything. When I try, I get the animation but nothing actually happens.

@cameron you're busy! How do you find the time?

@cigarBGuitarEfx nice! I play some guitar, not very well though, and I stick to slide and acoustic blues mostly.
